The international nature of Christchurch's earthquake tragedy has become increasingly obvious as the names of victims have been released.
Today 11 more victims were named, 10 of them Filipino, Japanese and Chinese students from King's Education - the language college destroyed when the CTV building collapsed.
Of 140 victims named so far, 50 of them are from the Philippines, the United States, Ireland, Thailand, China, Israel, Japan and Turkey.
At least 39 of the named victims are students from King's Education, which lost 71 international students in total.
Nine staff also perished.
The foreign students named yesterday were:
Emmabelle Cabahug Anoba, 26, from the Philippines.
Yuki Hasumoto, 22, from Japan.
Tomoki Ishikuro, 19, from Japan.
Saori Kikuda, 19, from Japan.
De Li, 18, from China.
Wanju Li, 44, from China.
Emi Murakami, 19, from Japan.
Saya Sakuda, 19, from Japan.
Yurika Uchihira, 19, from Japan.
Saki Yokota, 19, from Japan.
The eleventh name was that of Heidi Julie Berg, 36, a staff member at King's Education.
