IELTS test in Lahore, Pakistan – March 2011 (Academic Module)

The IELTS exam below was shared by our friend R from Lahore, who remembered the following:

Listening test

Section 1. An information officer of a travel agency was providing information to a customer on the phone. They were talking about a tour on Santa’s Island.

Section 2. An instructor was explaining a campus map to the new students of an institute.

Section 3. Students were talking about chimpanzee behavior they observed on a tour.

Section 4. A lecture about types of corporate styles.

Reading test

Passage 1. CSR – corporate social responsibility.
Passage 2. Traffic jams.
Passage 3. Don’t remember.

Writing test

Writing task 1 (a report)

We were given three pie charts comparing exports of Argentina, Chile and Mexico in 2004.

Writing task 2 (an essay)

Mobile phones and the internet can be of great use for the elderly. In what ways do you think these can be helpful to them? How can they be encouraged to use this technology?
