RMIT Vietnam is an English speaking university and all teaching is in English. Many students enter RMIT Vietnam at pre-University level to complete their English language studies to equip them to enrol in the degree programs. RMIT Vietnam works very closely with RMIT English Worldwide in offering Academic English programs for students prior to enrolment in award programs, Concurrent English programs for students undertaking award programs at Diploma level, as well as English for Specific Purposes for external and corporate clients.

Qualifications
Reporting to the Head of the Centre of Communication and Design, the Director English Language Programs provides leadership and expert knowledge in developing and implementing strategic options for the growth and delivery of sustainable and profitable English Language programs at RMIT Vietnam. On a day to day basis the Director is responsible for managing all matters relating to the development and delivery of a wide and varied suite of English programs offered by RMIT Vietnam, including large student enrolments, multiple staffing responsibilities, and the administrative requirements that flow from this.

Key responsibilities include participation in direction setting relating to the scope and delivery of all English programs at RMIT Vietnam; the setting of enrolment targets for Academic English programs; developing business opportunities for non-award English; managing issues related to program quality in accordance with RMIT Vietnam’s quality regime and indicators, including issues of consistency of outcomes with RMIT English Worldwide; marketing and promotion of the programs in conjunction with Marketing, Recruitment, and Student Services; workforce planning and budget management to support sustainability of the programs and performance management of English Language staff.

To be successful you will be tertiary qualified in an area relevant to international English language education. and have proven experience in leading and managing a large multicultural English Language teaching and administrative staff to develop and achieve defined operating objectives. You will have demonstrated leadership, interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills, coupled with the proven ability and commitment to motivate develop and coach others to deliver excellent client service in a rapidly changing cross cultural environment. You will also be able to engage and influence a wide range of stakeholders, both within and outside the University. Experience gained in leading and managing a large multicultural teaching staff delivering high quality English Language programs in a south east Asian university environment would be highly regarded.
