It’s already caught our eye for its daily colorful performances and energetic dance shows, but Thursday August 12 will see something extra special at the Thailand Pavilion.
The Queen of Thailand, H.M. Queen Sikirit celebrates her birthday on Thursday, and it’s also Mother’s Day in Thailand, meaning that the pavilion will be hosting two special shows at 11am and 1pm outside the pavilion. The idea is to send a loving message to mums everywhere.
The shows will include performances by young and talented performers from the Fanta Young Ambassadors a group of gifted children ranging from 4-14 years old specially chosen from all over Bangkok and the surrounding regions to demonstrate a range of talents in five different and colourful performances. The Fanta Young Ambassadors, a nationwide project which was first established in 1984 specializes in recruited gifted children in the fields of acrobatics and dance, and is one of the most prestigious groups for young dancers and entertainers in Thailand.
Each show will include two traditional dances: The State of Ramayana, which is an adaptation of traditional Thai dance; and The Lanna Dance, which is a traditional dance in Northern regions of Thailand. The other three shows remain a surprise, but promise to be spectacular.
