Scholarships offered Southeast Asia high school students

The Nisei Student Relocation Commemorative Fund (NSRC) will award $50,000 to Southeast Asian high school seniors residing in Washington state. Eligible students are those whose families originated from Cambodia, Laos or Vietnam.

The awards will be in three amounts: 11 scholarships at $2,000 each, and additional scholarships of $1,000 and $500 each. The deadline to apply is Friday, April 1.

The application and other information are available at www.nsrcfundwa.org.

The NSRC Fund is the only Japanese American run scholarship program in the U.S. making awards to Southeast Asians American high school seniors. Every year the board of directors selects a different city, region or area to make awards. To date, the Fund has awarded 608 scholarships totaling nearly $589,000.
