The Australian Centre for Education (ACE) in Siem Reap is looking to recruit a full-time Lead Teacher for its General English Program (GEP), starting in early January 2011.
ACE’s Siem Reap school has a thriving student population in excess of 900, and a multi-national teaching team of around 20 members. The successful candidate will be required to work in a small and very closely knit co-ordination team. The position is suitable for an enthusiastic, dedicated and flexible professional wanting to make an initial move into a supervisory role.

Duties and responsibilities include:
•teaching 18-20 hours a week on the GEP
•mentoring the GEP teaching staff and assisting with their ongoing professional development
•carrying out teacher observations / appraisals
•assisting with teacher, class and test scheduling
•assisting with placement testing
•overseeing and maintaining the GEP teaching resources
•assisting with student enrolment procedures.

Qualifications
•an undergraduate degree (essential)
•Cambridge CELTA, Trinity CertTESOL or internationally recognised equivalent (essential)
•at least 3 years teaching experience in a reputable English language school
•experience of teaching a wide range of proficiency levels, including upper-intermediate and IELTS preparation
•excellent organizational skills
•willingness to share ideas
•willingness to work flexible hours
Some experience in a supervisory role is desirable but initial training and ongoing support will be provided by the Branch Manager.
