This is the list of universities and colleges in Cambodia according to the Cambodian Ministry of Education, Youth, and Sport. Note that Cambodian education system ceased to exist and the educated populations were wiped out during the Khmer Rouge era (1975-1979). Cambodian education had to be rebuilt from scratch and today national education system of 12 years primary and secondary schooling was begun as recently as 1996-1997.
